Oftentimes, a person seeks coaching from me&nbsp;in order to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>work on particular goals in their leadership approach or style<\/li>\n<li>navigate current challenges in their work or life<\/li>\n<li>prepare for a career transition: new to a position, considering a new job or career, mid-career slump, preparing for the culminating chapter (before retirement)<\/li>\n<li>intentionally focus on their professional, personal or spiritual well-being<\/li>\n<li>develop new perspectives, strategies, and results in their leadership and life<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A guiding perspective for my approach to coaching is expressed by Marcel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lawrencepeers.com\/leadingfromadifferentplace\/costs-dates2\/dan-coaching-cropped\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-270\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-270 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lawrencepeers.com\/leadingfromadifferentplace\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/dan-coaching-cropped-e1532030516524-215x300.jpg?resize=215%2C300\" alt=\"\" width=\"215\" height=\"300\"><\/a>Proust:&nbsp;<em>\u201cThe real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.\u201d<\/em>&nbsp; In coaching we focus on shifting one\u2019s perspectives, leading&nbsp;to new actions and leadership practices that can possibly lead to qualitatively different results.<\/p>\n<p>After an initial exploratory conversation with you as a potential coaching client (at no cost), if we decide to proceed, we develop a coaching program that articulates the goals for the coaching and agreements about how we will proceed.&nbsp; I see clients in my office in Philadelphia or we \u201cmeet\u201d on the phone or through Zoom video conferencing.<\/p>\n<p>I have extensive training and experience in coaching and have a credential as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC)&nbsp;with the International Coach Federation.
